ClayComm2.0 Social Media Services

There was a time when I was thinking, “Man. I should really get into Twitter. It seems like it would be good for our agency. It seems like it would be good for me as a professional in the marketing world.” So I jumped in. And I flailed around. And I thought, “Maybe this isn’t so right for me. And this isn’t easy. Why didn’t anyone say so?”

After many near “I quit” incidents, I finally started to find my voice. I started to find out what worked and what didn’t. It took a lot of time and patience. Most of all though, it took a lot of people reaching out their hands and saying, “Nuhuh. This is how you can do that better.” I started listening to all of that advice that I received. I started building a community. And now, I couldn’t be happier with the Social Media home I’ve built for myself. The conversations I have on a daily basis, the things I learn, and the people I have met have been priceless, not just professionally, but personally as well.

Are you wondering if it’s time for you or your company to start using Social Media? The pressure is certainly there to jump in. Sometimes people even revert to namecalling if a company pauses before leaping in head first.

I am not a big believer in doing anything in marketing just for the sake of doing it. That goes for everything our agency encounters. I don’t care how many people are doing it already or how many great success stories there are. You want to know that what you are doing will benefit you. In an age of ROI and metrics, jumping in before making sure there’s water in the pool doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Not to you and not to us.

If you are struggling with whether you should get involved in Social Media, or if you have jumped in but are having a bit of a problem staying afloat like I was when I first started, you might want to look into a proprietary suite of services that we call ClayComm2.0. We can help you out.

ClayComm2.0 consists of two parts. The first is research. We talk to you about your company (or your brand), about your goals, and about what you want to achieve with Social Media, and then we conduct research and make some recommendations about what would benefit you most. Sometimes, we might say that just keeping an eye on Social Media is the best step for you. We’re in this to help, not to throw you into the Social Media deep end. If your customers aren’t using Social Media, and if your competitors aren’t using Social Media, who would you be tweeting to?

The second set of services is more about implementation. If you need help with any of the following, you might want to explore ClayComm2.0 as an option.

- Social Media “listening”

- Getting your blog started

- Getting an e-newsletter started

- Gaining traction on Twitter

- Learning LinkedIn

And more.

I know that there are an awful lot of people out there banging their fists on the table and saying that you must join the Social Media revolution or you will be left behind. We like to take  a bit more of a calm approach. Maybe now is the time for you to join Social Media. Maybe it isn’t. Maybe there is a way to approach your Social Media accounts differently so that you get better traction. Maybe there is a way you could dip your toe in the water. Maybe you’ll get hooked just like I did.  If you’d like help finding out, drop me an email.

I would highly recommend Margie Clayman as a resource to establish your company's social media campaign presence on the Web. Listening stations are essential to protect your company's good name in this day of branding by word of mouth and instant endorsements or disparagement via social media. Margie has and continues to be a pioneer in the social media industry. Susan Fox
